Could someone tell me what is all the damned fuss about couples of the same gender getting married??
Please spare me all the supposed religious and moral arguments, because to me it seems to be nothing more than the latest "people to pick on".We Americans always profess our tolerance and acceptance of so much. But that is nothing but CRAP!!It took this country nearly 100yrs more than Europe to abolish slavery and our country was nearly ripped apart in a civil war over it.In Europe you never hear about racial problems because they got past it.
Now here we have the big "gay rights contraversy".These people are not sexual perverts or deviants and should be entitled to the same rights as everyone, including the right to marry.I've been told by a very good friend of mine in England that their Labour Party made same sex marrage legal years ago.So what's taking us so long??
America should remember the saying about not throwing rocks if your live in a glass house. How many have heard of our MANY sex scandals involving priests. They stand on their pulpits spewing their fire and brimstone sermons on morality and sin,and after services they sexually assault the children of their parrish.Morality?? NO!! Just two faced hypocrisy!!
The church and state need an awakening to the times.I recently told a friend that to me marrage means that two people regardless of gender are joined first in their minds and hearts.Legal papers and religious ceremonies don't make you married.
